Currently, I am on a pescatarian diet and not eating as much meat. This means I am not getting as much protein. Shakes and smoothies have been very important over the last few weeks to give me the protein I need. I want to show my favorite shakes to make.
1. Tropical fruit smoothie
For this recipe your going to need…
- One cup of almond milk
- 1/4 cup of frozen mango
- 1/2 cup of frozen pineapple
- 1/4 cup of strawberries
- Optional- scoop of vanilla protein powder
Add all of the ingredients and blend until smooth! This smoothie was pretty big and it made two glasses!
2 . Triple C smoothie (Cherry, Chocolate, Cayenne)
For this recipe you are going to need...
- 1/2 cup of frozen cherries
- 2 cups of water
- 1 scoop of chocolate protein powder
- Dash of cayenne
Add water and cherries together and blend for 30-40 seconds or until smooth. Next add in your protein and cayenne. Blend and refrigerate or pour over ice!
3. Mixed berry smoothie
For this recipe you going to need……
- 1 cup of almond milk
- 1/3 cup of frozen mixed berries
- 1 scoop of vanilla protein powder
Add all ingredients into your blender and blend until smooth! I feel that with this recipe, the protein powder is essential to sweeten it up and thicken the shake. It is so refreshing, especially in the summer time!
